One kilometer South East River Temple archA chain cover for children's bicycles is essential. Children's bicycles with saddle height equal to or greater than 560mm should be fitted with a chain cover or other protective device to cover the outer surface of the meshing part on the chain and sprocket.
When the chain is fully engaged on the sprocket, the chain cover should exceed the outer side of the chain in the diameter direction. If the chain cover is not used and other protective devices are used, the cover range should be extended to the point where the sprocket teeth initially enter the two sides of the chain and measured to at least 25mm along the chain.
Children's bicycles with saddle height less than 560mm shall be fitted with a chain cover which shall be completed to cover the outer surface and edges of the chain, sprocket and flywheel, and the sprocket and the inner surface where the chain and sprocket mesh to prevent the child's fingers from getting into it. Because children's bikes are not intended for riding on the road, they must be used under the supervision of an adult and must not be ridden on the road.
